Why Casa Enrique is hard to book
Casa Enrique was the first Mexican restaurant in New York to earn a Michelin star, and it has held that distinction across years of a small, intimate Long Island City room. The seat count is low, the loyalty is high, and the kitchen of chef Cosme Aguilar cooks from his family's Chiapas recipes in a way that keeps the dining room full every night it opens. A large part of the room turns on walk-ins and last-minute openings, so the tables that do get released go almost the moment they appear. Wanting a specific night here means competing with a crowd that already knows exactly what it is missing.
We watch the room the way the regulars wish they could. We track the openings as they drop and the cancellations as they surface, then secure the table in your name for the night you actually want. Same room, same date, always. We never move you to a different evening and never send you somewhere else. You tell us the night; we hold the seat at Casa Enrique.
