Ignacio Mattos opened Estela above a beer hall on Houston Street in 2013 and made a forty-seat dining room into one of the most-watched in the city. The natural wine list, the burrata with salsa verde, and the persistent Obama-visit halo keep the prime tables tight a decade in.
Resy opens two weeks ahead and the 7-to-9pm tables are gone in the first minutes. The bar seats six and accepts walk-ins; the same menu, the same kitchen, no two-week wait.

We charge the card and send your confirmation — the time and the name to give the host.
You eat.
Walk into Estela, give your name at the host stand, sit down. The room takes it from there. We do not see you again until the next request.
