Why this room is hard

It is not a Resy problem. There is no Resy.

Masa Takayama serves about twenty-six seats a night at a fee that starts where most tasting menus end. The room is intentionally small, intentionally quiet, and intentionally not on any reservation platform. There are two seatings. They are full.

The only path in is a phone call to the host stand, and the people who get through are the people who already know to call. The kitchen also runs Bar Masa next door, which is the same hands, a different menu, and a meaningfully easier room to reach if Masa proper is what you cannot get.

What to expect

Five steps, start to seated.

You ask.

Tell us the night, the time window, the party size. Two minutes on this page. Card on file, not charged.

We confirm the request.

An operator reviews the request, checks the room, and sends a confirmation that we are working it. Usually within thirty minutes.

We work the room.

We reach the floor manager directly, by phone or by text, depending on the night. We do not refresh Resy. We make a call.

04

You are confirmed.

We charge the card and send your confirmation — the time and the name to give the host.

05

You eat.

Walk into Masa, give your name at the host stand, sit down. The room takes it from there. We do not see you again until the next request.
