Why Masalawala & Sons is hard to book
From the Unapologetic Foods team behind Dhamaka and Semma, Masalawala & Sons turned a small Park Slope room into one of the most coveted reservations in the world. The dining room is tiny, the garden seating tinier still, and the kitchen, led by James Beard winner Chintan Pandya, cooks Kolkata-rooted Bengali dishes you will rarely find anywhere else in the city. Tables open exactly 30 days out, just after midnight Eastern, and the prime evening seatings are gone in seconds against a waitlist that has run past six hundred names.
We track the midnight drop the moment it lands and we watch the cancellation flow in the days that follow, then secure the table in your name for the night you actually want. You tell us the date and the party size; we hold the room. Always this dining room, always your date. We never move you to another night and we never offer a different restaurant.
