Why this room is hard

It is not an OpenTable problem. It is a two-week window.

Michael Cimarusti opened Providence on Melrose in 2005 and has held two Michelin stars for most of the past two decades. The dining room runs a seafood-led tasting menu and seats about seventy across the main room and a chef's counter.

OpenTable opens two weeks ahead. The 7-to-9pm tables clear in the first minute; weeknights and the late seatings stay open longer. The chef's counter facing the kitchen is a separate higher-priced reservation.

Two stars. Two decades. Two-week window.
