4 Charles Prime Rib runs barely ten tables out of a West Village brownstone, a room built more like a speakeasy than a steakhouse. Seats release twenty-one days out at nine in the morning and disappear within seconds. The best tables rarely reach the public at all, because the house holds them back for regulars and the names it already knows.

A room this small does not run on speed, it runs on recognition. We have standing relationships with the people who seat the room, we watch the cancellations the public never sees, and we know which windows actually open. We put your name where the host stand already trusts it.

What to expect

Tell us the night, the time window, the party size. Two minutes on this page. Card on file, not charged.

We confirm the request.

An operator reviews the request, checks the room, and sends a confirmation that we are working it. Usually within thirty minutes.

We work the room.

We reach the floor manager directly, by phone or by text, depending on the night. We do not refresh Resy. We make a call.

You are confirmed.

We charge the card and send your confirmation — the time and the name to give the host.

You eat.

Walk into 4 Charles Prime Rib, give your name at the host stand, sit down. The room takes it from there. We do not see you again until the next request.
