The Polo Bar takes reservations one way, by telephone, released thirty days out on the matching calendar date. There is no online book to refresh and no waitlist to climb. The line opens in the morning and the tables for a month away are gone before lunch, claimed by the regulars and the recognized who know exactly when to call. It is Ralph Lauren's own dining room, and the door checks every name.
We work the phone the way it is meant to be worked, on the morning the date opens and again at the late afternoon hour when the cancellations surface. We have placed enough names in this room to be known on the other end of the line. When the book is full, that recognition is the difference between a no and a table.

An operator reviews the request, checks the room, and sends a confirmation that we are working it. Usually within thirty minutes.
We work the room.
We reach the floor manager directly, by phone or by text, depending on the night. We do not refresh Resy. We make a call.
You are confirmed.
We charge the card and send your confirmation — the time and the name to give the host.
You eat.
Walk into The Polo Bar, give your name at the host stand, sit down. The room takes it from there. We do not see you again until the next request.
