Sexy Fish is the Miami outpost of Richard Caring's Caprice Holdings, a Damien Hirst and Frank Gehry showroom on South Miami Avenue that doubles as a dining room. It is large, but the demand is larger, and after ten the floor turns into a nightlife scene that the city has decided it needs to be seen in. New dinner tables release on Resy about a month out, dropped at strange hours of the early morning, and the Thursday through Saturday prime windows are gone before most people are awake to fight for them.
It is not a reservation system. It is a guest list. We hold standing relationships with the room and watch the book the way the host stand does, not the way the public app does. We know when the late drops land, we catch the cancellations the moment they surface, and we put your name where it is recognized rather than queued.
