Nobu Malibu takes no online bookings. The book opens by phone only, between ten and five, exactly thirty days out, and the line is jammed the moment it opens. The oceanfront room over Surfrider Beach is a standing A-list scene, so the prime sunset tables are spoken for before the public ever gets through. A fifty-dollar-per-person no-show charge keeps the seats locked to names the host already knows.
We do not redial a busy line. We hold real relationships with the room and put your name where it is recognized before the phones light up. We watch the day-prior cancellations the public never sees, and we work the windows that open when a sunset table comes back. It is not a reservation system. It is a guest list.

We reach the floor manager directly, by phone or by text, depending on the night. We do not refresh Resy. We make a call.

We charge the card and send your confirmation — the time and the name to give the host.
You eat.
Walk into Nobu Malibu, give your name at the host stand, sit down. The room takes it from there. We do not see you again until the next request.
